IRATA Rope Access Level 1
This IRATA rope access level 1 course introduces the different principles of working at height, the safe systems of work, safety equipment to be utilised and an introduction to the legislation that is in place to protect people working at height.
Once you have an understanding of the equipment, we’ll get you ‘on the ropes’ and our highly experienced instructors will take you through the basic principles of Rope Access. This encompasses ascending, descending, transferring from rope to rope, relays, deviations and aid climbing.
Once you’ve completed 4 days of training in the basics of working safely at height utilising Rope Access, the final day will be for assessment. These assessments are carried out by an independent IRATA assessor. Don’t let the thought of an assessment put you off though!
All Rope Access Technicians are required to complete this, so we’ll do our very best to ease your worries and help you to work on any points you feel require special attention.
